Our Mission

Founded as a revenue generator for Building Bridges STL, Second Chance Fashion is dedicated to supporting young women, particularly those aged 17-22 who have aged out of the foster care system. Our mission is to empower these women by providing them with a safe, structured environment where they can thrive, learn valuable life skills, and gain the confidence needed to achieve true independence.

The Inspiration Behind Our Work

Building Bridges STL was born from a deep commitment to uplifting young women facing uncertain futures. Our founder, Akani KZA, envisioned a space where these women could find not only transitional housing but also a sense of belonging and purpose. Second Chance Fashion was established to create a sustainable funding source for these essential programs, ensuring that every woman has access to the resources she needs to succeed.
